Trifecta FAQ

Does the EZ Flash program work with Apple devices?
– No, the EZ Flash program is only capable of working with Windows 8 or newer operating systems.

I don’t have a computer that has Windows 8 or better, what can I do?
– A computer with these requirements would be needed to operate the EZ Flash program properly and load the tune.

How long does loading the tune take?
– Typical tune loading can take approximately 25 minutes.

Can I turn off or raise the speed limiter?
– No, the EZ Flash program will not allow for that change but Trifecta will change the speed limiter to the maximum speed that your tires are rated too.  Picture proof will be necessary for the request of changing the speed limiter.

I loaded the tune but I am getting a check engine light?
– Each Trifecta tune is calibrated for the different modifications you listed when you purchased your tune.  If you are experiencing a check engine light you can disable any diagnostic trouble codes to suit your modifications in the “OBD2 DTCs & Readiness Monitors” section of the EZ Flash Program.  Or you can simply clear the codes in the “Vehicle Info” menu under the “Code Scanner” section. See below for how to disable the readiness monitors.

How do I load my stock tune or where is it saved?
– Your stock tune file is save to the EZ Flash program for easy access when you need to reload the factory file in place.  You will go through the same prompts for loading the Trifecta tune but instead of selecting the Trifecta tune under the “Calibration File” menu you will just select the “Stock” calibration file.

Do I need to enable the “Transparency Feature” option?
– Yes, this option simply allows all the other modules to work as if the car was still in stock form.

I have a message saying I am unable to connect?
– Disconnect the cable from the OBD2 port and then the laptop.  Turn the ignition to the “OFF” position and allow a few minutes before you restart your laptop to start the process again.  If you are still unable to connect, please ensure that you have the latest version of the EZ Flash software.

I bumped my USB connection or lost connection and got an error.  What do I do?
– If your flash is interrupted you will just have to restart the EZ Flash program and continue to load the tune.  The EZ Flash software will detect an interruption and proceed from where it left off.

I have done everything correct but I am stuck at 5%.  What can I do?
– Although this process does take some time, if you are more than positive that you are stuck you will just have to disconnect the cables and repeat the process.

Ghost Cam Information:

What is it?
– The Ghost Cam feature is only applicable for the 2010-2015 V6.  It allows you to experience the chopping sound of a typical camshaft without having camshafts installed.

Will I get a check engine light with this feature?
– Although the Ghost Cam feature is only active at idle it is possible that it could cause a check engine light to be present during operation but it is not permanent.

Can I turn off or down this feature?
– Yes, in the main menu of the EZ Flash program under the “Program” section you will see “Adjust Calibration Settings”.  From there you can hover over the “LLT” tab and you will see the “Set Ghost Cam”. In this section you will see adjustment drop down menu, from there you can select how aggressive you would prefer it to be or you can turn it off completely.  Doing this will require you to reload the tune settings before your tune will be calibrated with the settings you selected in the feature.

2010-2011 V6 Models – this function can be turned ON/OFF using the cruise control button.

2012-2015 V6 Models – this function is always active, to turn off or down the settings will need to be adjusted.
